Small in stature. Big on opinions. Absolutely nobody’s pushover.
Nita may be one of the smallest residents of Long Story Lane, but she’s certainly not short on personality.
Usually dressed in a comfortable sweatsuit and tennis shoes, Nita has a practical outlook on life, a sharp sense of humor, and very little patience for unnecessary foolishness.
She’s independent, stubborn, and perfectly capable of making her point without raising her voice. Although, when the occasion calls for it, she’s not opposed to raising that either.
A Woman Who Knows Her Mind
Married to Hank, a veteran, farmer, and longtime construction man, Nita has spent plenty of years around hard work, stubborn personalities, and people who insist they know the best way to do everything.
She’s developed a few opinions of her own.
Nita believes in common sense, keeping your word, and not making things more complicated than they need to be.
She and Hank don’t always agree on how things should be done, but after years together, they’ve learned that a little patience, a sense of humor, and occasionally pretending not to hear each other can go a long way.
Life on the Lane
Nita enjoys a good board game, a competitive round of cards, and settling in to watch a NASCAR race.
She’s always happy to join a game, although anyone sitting across the table should know that she’s paying attention. If the rules suddenly change halfway through, somebody had better have a good explanation.
Around the neighborhood, Nita is known for her quick comebacks, dry humor, and remarkable ability to say exactly what everyone else was thinking.
She doesn’t go looking for attention, but she has a way of becoming part of the conversation whether she intended to or not.
Small but Mighty
Beneath Nita’s stubborn streak is a neighbor who believes in looking out for the people around her.
She isn’t one for grand speeches or making a fuss over feelings. She’s more likely to offer practical advice, share a laugh, or remind someone that tomorrow is another day.
And while her advice may come with a little sarcasm, there’s usually a good heart behind it.
Nita believes life is meant to be lived, laughter is worth sharing, and there’s no reason to let a little foolishness ruin a perfectly good day.
